2. Activate the synthetic ILS feature in the aircraft menu. You will see a message on your PFD indicating the synthetic ILS frequency and identifier for your selected runway.
3. Tune your navigation radios to the synthetic ILS frequency and set the course to match the runway heading.
4. Fly the approach procedure as normal until you reach the FAF. At this point, you should see the glide slope and localizer bars appear on your PFD.
5. Intercept and follow the glide slope and localizer as you would with a real ILS approach. You can use the autopilot or fly manually, depending on your preference and skill level.
6. Perform a landing or a go-around as appropriate.
Synthetic ILS approach automation is a great tool for enhancing your flight simulation experience and improving your ILS skills. However, it is not a substitute for real-world procedures and regulations. You should always check the airport information and charts before using synthetic ILS, and be aware of any limitations or differences from real ILS approaches. Synthetic ILS is also not guaranteed to work with every aircraft add-on or every airport in P3D and FSX, so you should test it before relying on it.
